The next sentence: Me gustaría reservar una mesa para tres personas a las dos, por favor. It is made up entirely of words you already have images for – and from now on the huge loaf with apple pieces, baked from good, strong flour, is enough for me gustaría.

You stand with the bread under your arm next to the deer with the napkin and the radio (reservar). At night you take the underground to the restaurant (una) and show the waiter the table where the knives lie next to the salt (mesa).

A paraglider flies through the room twirling a tea bag; its little string looks like a small snake (para tres – the German “Tee dreht” means “tea twirls”). All the people in the room get wet (personas – the German “Personen nass” means “people wet”). He spots an apple on the table, grabs it with a lasso (a las), puts it in a tin with two snakes (dos) and flies out through the gate (por favor).
