What's Your Name?

To the next lesson

Kako se zoveš? means “What’s your name?” – the informal question you would use with anyone you are on first-name terms with.

In front of you stands a person holding a hot drink. To avoid burning their fingers they have wrapped nappies around it, and a dictionary is floating in the drink: that covers the German phrasing in the image. Next to them stands a camel that smells a little odd, behind it a lake full of tigers, and in the west the sun rises over a ski slope. Camel, lake, tigers and skis give you kako se zoveš.

Say the sentence several times. At some point it starts to feel like a melody that either fits or does not – and because the images are in the right order, you know it fits.
