Svibanj means May. The Croatian month names have nothing to do with the Latin ones, so each needs its own image – plus an anchor that makes the month unambiguous.
For May it is the lilies of the valley: when they sprout, the winemakers sing, the plants push their way through the soil, and everybody is delighted each time. Singing, winemakers (Winzer in German), pushing through and the delight give you svibanj.
