Evo izvolite moju putovnicu means “Here is my passport, please” – the sentence your holiday starts with at customs. It is the longest one in this chapter, so it is built up in several passes.
There is an elephant pictured on the passport, and it has a woolly coat. With its trunk it eats from the woolly patch and drinks a litre of tea with it: elephant, woolly, eating and litre of tea give you evo izvolite. The woolly patch is extra large in the image – that marks the stressed syllable. On the teacup you see the moon, and standing on it is a judo fighter in his kimono: moon and judo give you moju. He is wearing a jumper with a tomato on it, and on the tomato sits a whale whose mouth never closes – jumper, tomato, whale and “never closed” give you putovnicu.
