Zuótiān means “yesterday”.
You are sitting in an old train, a steam locomotive from yesterday, eating an apple. The train climbs as steeply as a cable car: zuó, rising from low to high. On the horizon you see a tiger and a duck – or a tiger duck, like the one from a German children’s book: tiān, level.
