The last sentence of the chapter: Principio y final del Camino de Santiago.
The Way of St James is represented by a chimney – “Kamin” in German – as round as an O, with the stretching that goes with it (Camino de Santiago). In this story the round chimney is enough to stand in for it.
At the start of the route stands a prince holding a sieve with the number pi printed on it; the sieve is as round as an O (principio). Its handle has spines like a hedgehog’s – “Igel” (y). At the end of the route you become one with the universe, the German “All” (final), and there stands a tree in which pilgrims make a dent – “Delle” – to show they were here (del). Behind it you see the round chimney again (Camino de Santiago).
