For the first time you learn two sentences in one story: I see that lots of you don’t know each other yet. Let’s do a quick round of introductions.
Everyone gets an egg and a sieve (I see) and writes the weight they felt onto the eggshell (that); a lottery ticket in the shape of a snake hangs from the egg (lots), the egg often falls down (of), and you bow as you would in judo (you). Under the cupboard stands a tin (don’t), sheet music lies next to it (no), a hedgehog comes along dancing the cha-cha (each), its ear feels coarse (other), and you put it out in the garden to do the weeding (yet).
In the garden you read about tea plantations with snakes in them (let’s), it gets dark (do), and you go to the sty where pigs squeal and give each other a check (a quick); their coat is rough and round at the rear (round). Through the open door you travel to India, where it drips and the doctor makes your skin lovely like snakeskin again (of introductions).
