The first time of day: por la mañana – in the morning.
Two colleagues are wondering what to do tomorrow morning. One of them wants to polish her porcelain and keeps laughing because it squeaks so much (por la). Then her husband comes home, she goes out to eat with him and finishes the polishing afterwards (mañana).
