This training combines two worlds: knowing what actually matters when learning a language, and the technique that makes it stick. Our brain struggles with anything abstract – a number like 17512, or a foreign word like molim. Turn it into an image and it becomes easy: a limousine driving across the moon, and molim for “please” is set.
Normally a sound needs thirty to forty repetitions before it is anchored in your memory. With these image stories, about six will do. That is why every word and every sentence gets its own little story, in which the German meaning appears first and the Croatian sound then shows up syllable by syllable.
Give yourself permission to watch each video several times. Mistakes are not a setback here, they simply show you what to correct next. Gregor Staub’s rule of thumb from his seminars: five repetitions. When something sticks, be pleased – and when you find a mistake, be pleased as well.
Every video follows the same pattern: you hear the German sentence first, then the Croatian one, then the Croatian slowly and once more at normal speed.
