Spanish for your holiday

Getting around town

To the next lesson

The ninth chapter helps you find your way around a Spanish town. First you learn the four points of the compass. For this, Gregor fixes one place for each direction in advance: Sweden for the north, Red Square in Moscow for the east, Sicily for the south and Ireland for the west. After that come right, left, straight ahead and “next to the theatre”.

In the second part you ask the way to the bus station, the train station and the metro, ask for the stop of a bus route and for the nearest cash machine, pharmacy and supermarket. For “How do I get to …?” you are given a standard image, the chest of drawers for ¿Cómo puedo llegar …?, which comes back in several sentences.

After that you learn where to buy a ticket and where to rent a car.
