Before you start, memory trainer Gregor Staub explains why this course works differently from classic language teaching. You do not only learn which 100 sentences you really need on a business trip – you also get a story for every single one of them. Your brain remembers pictures far better than the bare sound of a foreign language.
Every lesson follows the same pattern: Alex says the sentence in English, gives the German meaning, repeats it slowly and then at normal speed. After that, Gregor Staub shows you the images that anchor it in your mind. Some words get a standard image that keeps coming back – the is an armchair, for instance, and excuse me is an ex-girlfriend with a kiss and a glass of milk.
Take two things with you from the start: say every sentence out loud, because speaking anchors it far better than reading along silently. And expect to make mistakes – after five or six repetitions, a difficult sentence no longer feels difficult.
